Emergency Advisory

During an emergency (i.e., Fire, Earthquake, etc.), Mountain Transit is under the authority of the Sheriff and/or Fire Department.  Mountain Transit does not coordinate evacuations.  Residents are advised to listen to KBHR (93.3) radio for information regarding evacuations and updates during incidents.  It is recommended that mountain residents keep a battery operated radio on hand to be used during emergencies.

Route Change Alert- Route 13 Off The Mountain

Affected routes: Big Bear OTM Route 13

Due to Low Ridership, Effective immediately (12/23/2018) Route 13 From Big Bear Lake to Lucerne, Apple Valley and Victorville will only Run on Tuesdays and Fridays, leaving Vons in Big Bear at 6:30 am and 12:00pm. For route information and questions please call 909-878-5200

HOLIDAY SERVICE HOURS

There will be NO SERVICE FOR  Regular Fixed Route, Off the Mountain or Dial-A-Ride on 

Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2019

 Administrative and Dispatch offices will also be closed on both days

The only service running on these Holidays is:

  • Big Bear Lake Trolley from 11:00am-6:25pm
  • Big Bear Route 9 from 5:30am -9:30pm (between the Backward Look Lot and BBMR RESORTS) Skiers and snowboarders may be dropped off at Backward Look Lot and ride the bus for free to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. However, there is no public parkingParking at the Backward Look Lot is for BBMR employees only.

Show your Season Pass, IKON Pass, Employee ID or Day Pass on all Mountain Transit’s Big Bear Fixed Routes, including the Weekend Trolley and Off the Mountain Routes FREE!  Routes 1, 3, 11, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 are all FREE for pass holders and employees thanks to Big Bear Mountain Resorts!
