Emergency Advisory

During an emergency (i.e., Fire, Earthquake, etc.), Mountain Transit is under the authority of the Sheriff and/or Fire Department.  Mountain Transit does not coordinate evacuations.  Residents are advised to listen to KBHR (93.3) radio for information regarding evacuations and updates during incidents.  It is recommended that mountain residents keep a battery operated radio on hand to be used during emergencies.

06/10/19 10:31am Mountain Transit Off the Mountain Route 5 from Big Bear Service Alert***Fawnskin Area****

Affected routes: Big Bear OTM Route 5

Due to  a Cal Trans One Way Traffic Operation from route 38/N Shore drive to Talbot Drive, Mountain Transit’s Big Bear Off the Mountain (OTM) Route 5 will be unable to provide uphill service to the Fawskin service area on the second run of the day. Currently, Cal Trans is diverting uphill traffic due to emergency road work.

Route 5 OTM will resume scheduled service to Fawnskin Area on Final run of the day.  For questions and information please call 909-878-5200.

5/3/19 6:15 pm Big Bear Off the Mountain Route 5 delayed due to accident on 330

Affected routes: Big Bear OTM Route 5

Big Bear off the mountain Route 5 has been delayed on its downhill run due to an accident on the 33o since 4:34pm. When traffic behind moving again, Route 5 will continue downhill to the San Bernardino Transit Center. The bus is delayed but will still provide service to all scheduled stops as soon as the road is re-opened. Big Bear Route 5 Off the Mountain Delay 3/12/2019- service disruption-2nd OTM run at 11:00am

Affected routes: Big Bear OTM Route 5

Due to weather related road conditions and delays, Big Bear route 5 Off the Mountain (OTM) schedule has been significantly impacted in reaching San Bernardino on the first off the mountain run of the day. Route 5 OTM run two will not run as scheduled at 11:00 am. Route 5 Service will resume in time for the third OTM run of the day leaving Vons at 4:00pm and is scheduled to arrive at the San Bernardino Transit Center at 5:34 pm.

Riders should be mindful that traffic delays and road conditions may cause further delays in service. Please check back often for updates on service disruptions, or download our to track your bus approach in real time.
